Blogmas 2017 - Day 23: Another year over, and a new one just begun

I know that we haven’t hit Christmas yet, but I think it’s pretty inevitable that around this time of year many people spend some time reflecting on the last year, and looking forward to the next.

2017 held a lot of changes for our family. This time last year we weren’t planning on moving house for another 18 months or so, yet we moved just 5 months later. I was expecting to return to work in August, but I didn’t go back. Stu is now back to a long commute, after a couple of years of having a pretty straightforward journey to work. Charlotte left the nursery she’s been at since she was 13 months old, and started a new preschool. Benjamin didn’t go to nursery at all. And I started this blog!

This morning I painted Charlotte's nails after many requests and now the kids and I are snuggling on the sofa watching The Nightmare Before Christmas for the millionth time, and I’m just full of love and appreciation for my wonderful children, and our incredible lives. The Waton’s already have a lot of plans for 2018. *Spoilers* In March we will be jetting off to New Zealand to visit my older brother who lives out there, in June we will be celebrating my dad’s 60th, in September one of my lovely friends gets married and Charlotte will start school (sob!), and in October Stu will be celebrating his...well, a significant birthday! Phew, and before we know it it’ll be Christmas 2018!
